Putting anything in or near your eyeball can be a rather dangerous undertaking — even if it's just an innocent eyelash curler.
Miley Cyrus recently had a rather unsavory run-in with her own eyelash curler, which she reported on her Instagram feed. Apparently when Cyrus used the curler on her lashes, the contraption broke off a clump of her lashes (eek!). She posted a photo which featured her lash line with a rather noticeable chunk missing.

"F*cking curler chopped my dayummmm lash!" Cyrus wrote in the photo caption.
Don't worry though — if this photo is giving you lash anxiety, there IS a way to ensure your own lashes avoid a similar fate. Just make sure that there is no mascara on your lashes and no sticky remnants on your curler. According to YouBeauty, "mascara on the eyelashes can cause your eyelashes to stick to the curler, consequently causing them to break."
We just hope that Miley doesn't end up turning this into the hip, new beauty trend. Because that could be painful for everyone.
