Miley Cyrus Learns About Middle-Aged Relations From Golfer John Daly

Golf pro John Daly is known primarily for being a rapscallion who goes against the grain of his sport's typically staid customs. Miley Cyrus is known primarily for being, well, Miley Cyrus.

Their two universes collided in predictably strange fashion on Monday morning, and in perhaps the only logical way imaginable: on Twitter.

Cyrus went on the Today show with Matt Lauer as part of a publicity tour to promote her latest album. You can watch the full interview, here, but the part that of course caught Daly's attention was when the pop idol addressed the sex lives of the middle-aged:

"Well I heard when you turn 40 things start to go a little less sexual," Cyrus explained. "Probably round 40, around that time, I heard that's when people don't have sex anymore so ..."

If there's one thing the 47-year-old Daly won't stand for, it's uppity 20-somethings bashing middle-aged intercourse. So he took to Twitter to set the record straight:

.@MileyCyrus luv ur showing @Todayshow & ur music! I do disagree w/u I'm over 40 & sex is just as good as it was at 20! LOL— John Daly (@PGA_JohnDaly) October 7, 2013

In conclusion: Twitter is weird. Miley Cyrus is weird. John Daly is weird. Too bad this didn't happen earlier, or the company could have included it in its S-1 shout-outs, touting the social network's "conversational" utility.
