By taking a puff from what looked like a joint on stage at the Europe Music Awards, Miley Cyrus made her twerking debacle at the VMAs sound so very three months ago.
The 20-year-old lit up when she accepted an award for Best Video for "Wrecking Ball," which she performed earlier in the night.
Marijuana isn't legal in the Netherlands, but users aren't prosecuted for possessing tiny amounts. The EMAs were broadcast live from Amsterdam, and stores throughout the city (known as "coffee shops") sell the drug in small doses.
Cyrus also performed "We Can't Stop" to open the show, wearing a skintight space outfit while twerking with and spanking another female performer, who is a dwarf.
Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Eminem and even Will Ferrell were also in attendance.
Perry performed "Unconditionally" while suspended in midair as green lasers bounced off her mirror-like getup. She spit out champagne before accepting the award for Best Female.
Bruno Mars took home best song for "Locked Out of Heaven," and Ferrell, in character as Anchorman's Ron Burgundy, handed Eminem the award for Global Icon. Burgundy told Eminem that Dutch DJ Afrojack was making fun of him when he wasn't watching, to which Eminem responded, "Who?"
