"The battle trumpet has been sounded."

Oregon's armed militiamen currently occupying the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge headquarters in Burns, Oregon, have asked for support many times since occupying the building. But now they've sounded their battle horns.

The call to action was released in a clip uploaded to Facebook by Blaine Cooper on Tuesday, which shows two men, one of whom is wearing camouflage, blowing into trumpets for a solid 43 seconds. Accompanying the video was the following caption, completely in caps:

These "battle trumpets" are likely shofars, an ancient instrument made out of a ram's horn used in the Jewish religion during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

However, according to the Christian Broadcast Network, nine rapid bursts of the shofar, referred to as t'ruah, "alerted Israel that they were under attack and that all the fighting men were needed to draw together immediately for battle," which appears to be how the militiamen were interpreting their use.
