Minnie Mouse is not your typical style icon but she is about to take over your Instagram feed.
Disney has launched @MinnieStyle, a Minnie Mouse-inspired Instagram account, to showcase the character's signature style and influence on fashion, beauty and pop culture.

From those that dress up like her for Halloween or wear red polka dot flare skirts, Minnie Mouse has inspired hat trends and celebrity interpretations since her creation in the 1920s.

The account will give followers a behind-the-scenes look at inspired looks from ready-to-wear designs, celebrities and bloggers as well as at events during New York and London Fashion Weeks.

On Thursday, Disney is collaborating with Refinery29 to create a Minnie-inspired room at the lifestyle website’s 29Rooms Fashion Week celebration.

Minnie will also be represented in London, from Sept. 18 to 20, when Disney and the British Fashion Council host Minnie: Style Icon with the help of model and photographer Georgia May Jagger.
This exhibition will feature photographs from the 1930’s through today including sketches, illustrations, celebrity portraits and fashion spreads.
"I’m really excited to be working on this campaign, showing how pop culture can influence fashion in a way that encourages excitement and creativity,” Jagger said in a release.
Whether you love Minnie Mouse or just take a picture with her at a trip to Disney, her style has been emulated for over 90 years but now in Instagram form.
