After all her years in showbiz, it's about time Miss Piggy wrangled herself a trophy.

The Brooklyn Museum Sackler Center First Awards honor women who have made notable strides in their respective fields. Previous honorees include Sandra Day O'Connor, Julie Taymor and Toni Morrison. And now, the one and only Miss Piggy will enter the ranks of these esteemed ladies.

Miss Piggy will receive her award at the June 4 ceremony and take part in a featured conversation with powerhouse activist Gloria Steinem.

Though it may seem strange or off-putting to give a feminist award to a female puppet (particularly one who voiced by a man), the Sackler Center claims that the admirably boisterous Muppet has earned her accolade through "more than 40 years of blazing feminist trails with determination and humor" and "inspiring generations the world over."

Miss Piggy tweeted about her delight while managing to snub Meryl.

Moi is finally getting an award!! Oh, I'm so excited! Eat your heart out, Meryl. https://t.co/oTGUjwJ4r1— Miss Piggy (@RealMissPiggy) April 28, 2015

It looks like the awards circuit is finally ready to acknowledge what the rest of us have always known: Miss Piggy is a boss.
