MLB.TV has had major outages with MLB Mosaic two days in a row now, according to a VentureBeat report. That's the second time in the past year that the MLB has done wrong by its consumers. Granted, the outages aren't entirely the fault of MLB, it's still not a good look, especially when it comes to premium content.

Remember when the MLB switched DRM providers and the premium content purchased by customers could no longer be verified and was no longer accessible to its end users? That wasn't cool either. As content owners strive to find more ways in which to monetize contnet, especially traditional media companies looking to the web and Internet television as a viable distribution platform, major outages are never good for the end consumers.
