Mochila, the content syndication marketplace, has signed a new deal with Citizen Image, the citizen photojournalist agency. With this deal, photos from Citizen Image will be made available to web publishers that syndicate content from Mochila.
Citizen Image will be participating on Mochila's AdMatch program, where web publishers can buy and syndicate content for free while earning a cut of ad revenue that's been generated from the provided content. Both Citizen Image and Mochila have instituted a new way of gathering and distributing content, working with both traditional and new media platforms, and becoming a bridge between the two mediums.
Mochila has especially begun ramping up its efforts as of late, further establishing itself as a viable alternative to purchasing content through other means, while also providing added value to site visitors and monetization options for publishers. It's recently inked major deals with Belo and Reuters.
