Despite turbulent seas, French maritime experts have successfully tied a line and begun towing an overturned cargo ship off the coast of France, preventing it from crashing into France's southwest coast in the next 48 hours.

The Modern Express had been floating in the Bay of Biscay since it began listing last Tuesday, teetering at an angle of between 40 and 50 degrees. Twenty-two crew members were airlifted to safety last week, though rough waters from Storm Henry have made the rescue attempt especially difficult.
