The "Revitalizer" uses a high-voltage lamp to melt its wax lampshade into a molded cup located below the bulb. As the lampshade drips down, it constantly forms new shapes and displays different intensities of light.
The heat resistance of the cup helps create a new mould once the wax cools. Users can then replace the shade and start the process again. Kahraman explains that the design of the Revitalizer represents the "poetic transformation through metamorphosis," where the wax is a symbol for the death and rebirth of an object.
