One of the most accepted drugs on the planet, caffeine, and its popular delivery method, coffee, just got a mobile tech boost that instantly makes it far more easy to get your java fix.
Crafted to look like a common thermos, the MoJoe is a mobile coffee maker that takes traditional, at-home coffee making techniques and innovates the concept in a way that lets you brew coffee in a brand new way – while you travel or commute to work.

Using a patented system the team calls VacDrip, the device accepts water at any temperature and prepares it to transform common coffee grinds, which you place in a tiny filter at the top of the MoJoe, into a tasty coffee elixir comparable to what you'd brew at home.
How does it work?
Once the device's rechargeable battery heats the water up to about 200 degrees Fahrenheit, steam pushes the hot water up through its siphon tube that leads to the internal coffee filter. The result is fresh brewed coffee that is held in the MoJoe's separate coffee reservoir chamber.
And if the device's battery isn't fully changed (it takes about 20-30 minutes to recharge) you can plug the device into a wall outlet or your car's adapter.
There are a number of mobile coffee makers on the market, but this unique combination of vacuum brewing and drip coffee engineering promises what might be the best tasting coffee you can get in such a compact, mobile device.
Aside from the brewing style versus taste, the other great thing about the MoJoe is that it keeps the water separate from the coffee grinds until the filtering process (saving us from the horror of ingesting those nasty instant, water soluble coffee products that have been pushed on us for decades).
According to the makers of the device, the brewing process takes just 6 to 10 minutes, depending on the temperature of the water you pour into it.
If the team's Kickstarter campaign is any indication, this is a product a lot of people have been waiting for. As of this writing, the MoJoe, available for $79, has raised over $73,000 of the campaign's $20,000 goal.
The other good news? You won't have to wait a year for this product, unlike some Kickstarter campaigns, the MoJoe is scheduled to ship to backers in May.
