Finally, a solution for parents who don't want their kids to grow up: just knit new kids.

When Marieke Voorsluijs's sons began reaching puberty, they stopped wanting to cuddle with her. Being a textile designer, she did what came natural: created a new son out of yarn who would cuddle endlessly.

Of course, the project is mostly for laughs, and Voorsluijs told Mashable in an email that her sons appreciate the irony of it since she is "not a smother mother at all."

According to Voorsluijs, who co-authored a book filled with instructions about realistic knitting, the project is a "tribute to puberty and [her] sons."

The yarn boy is not a fully stuffed son -- it's a wearable suit -- so the true cuddle ability of it is still dependent on one of Voorsluijs' sons wearing it.
