Between clenched teeth and a series of "eeee" noises, an autocross racer's mom delivered a comment only a proud mother could.
"You're doing very well, honey," she says as she and her son Scott speed between small orange cones in an empty parking lot during a Drive Fast autocross event, a timed race where drivers can test the limits of their vehicles and driving abilities. Most mothers wouldn't be able to even watch their son drive like this, let alone tag along like Scott's.
