Don't steal pumpkins from toddlers, Halloween grinches. You should know that, but some meanie forgot the most obvious rule of the season. (Well, almost the most obvious.)

After Becky Reina, a mother living in Washington, D.C., discovered that someone snatched her 2-year-old son's jack-o'-lantern, she created a sign to let the thief know exactly what she thought of his antics.

A photo of Reina's note first caught the attention of Reddit and has since spread across the Internet as defenders of the Halloween spirit chime in.

Remember, pumpkin smashers, the wrath of the Internet is worse than any goblin or ghoul.
