Andrea and Elaine think Fifty Shades of Grey isn't any raunchier than Game of Thrones.

The moms-turned-reviewers watched the erotic big-screen hit, based on the novel by E.L. James, with their (only slightly) embarrassed daughters, and offered their perspectives.

Mashable staffers also reluctantly agreed to ask their moms for written reviews of the film. Ann's was our favorite:

Steamy and too steamy.

Although the movie followed the book closely, and Dakota was a believable naive young woman, up close and in my face made it sad that a woman would put herself in that position. Not enough of the sex was left to the imagination. No merkin in sight!

About Dakota's part, I found myself feeling sorry for her parents that may have to watch their daughter in the movie at some point. A Jane Austen purple passion, bodice ripper of modern times -- predictable if you know there is a sequel, a bit sad, but also entertaining -- ONCE.
