SINGAPORE -- It's not every day you see money lying on the ground, so a flutter of dollar notes on a busy expressway caused motorists to abandon their vehicles and stuff their pockets with the booty.

This dashcam video sent to The New Paper shows drivers leaving their vehicles on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) to pick up the RM50 (US$13) Malaysian notes. The expressway in Singapore is one of the main routes leading to the Northern border between Singapore and Malaysia.

Anecdotal accounts from witnesses estimate that the notes scattered amounted to about RM10,000 ($2,580).

The source of the notes remains a mystery.
