Fear Tech Hacks Disney Pixar's 'Monsters University' Website

The college admission website for Monsters University was defaced by rival school Fear Tech on Monday -- yes, on April Fools' Day. The "prank" on the fictitious site adds more marketing fuel to Disney Pixar's viral ad campaign for its Monsters University movie.

Monsters University, the prequel to the 2001's Monsters, Inc. flick, comes out June 21. Playing off of the movie's name, Disney Pixar created MonstersUniversity.com/edu in 2012.

Before

Here's what the website looked like before "hackers" worked their magic.

After

The hacked site isn't functional anymore. Clicking anywhere leads to the Fear Tech logo or mascot popping up. The website previously let users apply to MU, buy college swag and register for a student ID card, as well as learn about alumni, faculty, sports and Greek life.

This commercial for the new film spoofs traditional college recruitment videos:

Monsters University will tell the story of Sulley and Mike as rival fraternity brothers, 10 years prior to what transpired in Monsters, Inc.
