If you won't be able to make it home for Mother's Day this year, Groupon has an idea: Just hire somebody to be you.

A Groupon deal is offering to send a stand-in to your mom's house in your place -- granted you live in the continental United States. For $25,000, a Groupon employee will complete 16 hours of household chores for your mother, send her on a $5,000 shopping spree in a limo, cater a family dinner and more.

Mashable confirmed with Groupon via email that this was not, in fact, a belated April Fools' prank. The representative told us that since the offer went live on May 7, the company has received "tons of interest," but would not confirm how many -- if any -- had purchased the deal.

Though this is an unusual promotion, it's somewhat less invasive than Groupon's "tuck-in" offer from 2012, when you could hire a Groupon employee to tuck you in and sing you lullabies.

One thing's for sure, though: If $25,000 is burning a hole in your pocket, you could give your mom the Mother's Day present that she had no idea she wanted this year. But you only have until 12 a.m. on Saturday to decide before the deal is over. After all, Mother's Day is Sunday.

Then again, you could just name a crater after her.
