Bluetooth headsets have gotten a bad rap over the last few years. So much so, that most people no longer wear them for fear of being called ridiculous. Motorola hopes to end the stigma with a new Bluetooth earbud that’s so small it fits almost entirely inside your ear.

The Moto Hint is designed to work with any Android phone, but it's most full-featured when paired with the new Moto X. The Hint is a $149.99 communication device that will let you make and receive calls, send voice commands to your smartphone (where supported) and get notifications when you need them.
The only thing that holds it inside your ear is, well, your ear. I wore one briefly and, after struggling a bit to get it properly situated, found it pretty comfortable and secure.
And it’s smart.
As soon as I put it in my ear, it spoke to me and asked me to connect to my smartphone. There are no buttons on the tiny and, I suspect, easy-to-lose device. Instead, it uses capacitive touch and, of course, voice control.
When paired with the Moto X, you gain access to all the Moto Voice capabilities, which, with the introduction of the new X and Moto G, are significantly more versatile than they were before. By speaking in a normal tone of voice, you can check messages, get notifications, find out the latest sports scores or check the weather. The device is so small that people might assume you’re talking to yourself.
Moto Hint offers fairly limited battery life, but it ships with a tiny case that doubles as a battery pack.
Motorola said the Hint will ship sometime in the fall and be available in six color options.
