Apple's Mountain Lion Arrives Today

New version of Apple's PC operating system, Mac OS X 10.8 or Mountain Lion, becomes available today through the Mac App Store.

The upgrade costs $19.99 and brings more than 200 new features, including social networking integration and automatic synchronization of Reminders, Messages and Notes. Anyone who bought a new Mac on or after June 11 is entitled to a free upgrade.

Angry Birds Now Available on Samsung Smart TVs

Owners of Samsung's high-end Smart TVs can now download and play Angry Birds. We've tried it out, and it was fun; now, if you have Samsung’s 2012 LED 7500 (or higher) or one of the Plasma 8000 line devices, you'll be able to try it out yourself. The game should be available in your TV's "Smart Hub."

Nintendo Reports Q1 Loss

Nintendo has reported an operating loss of 10.3 billion yen ($132 million) for its fiscal Q1, compared with a loss of 37.7 billion yen the year before. The loss is lower than expected, and, while the Wii sales were cut in half since last year, the company pointed out that the sales of the 3DS game console, launched in February 2011, went to 1.86 million from 710,000.
