Mac OS X Mountain Lion Goes Gold

Apple has released the final developer version of OS X Mountain Lion, known as a Gold Master, on Monday. This version will be the same -- or very similar -- to the final version. Developers can get it right now, while the general public will be able to purchase it online by the end of July.

Microsoft Reveals Windows 8 To Go

At its Digital Worldwide Partner Conference Monday, Microsoft has revealed a USB stick that can run Windows 8 even on a PC which has Windows 7 installed. This portable version of Windows 8 saves your apps and settings on the USB stick itself, meaning you can carry it around and use any PC as your own PC.

Kim Dotcom's Extradition Hearing Postponed

The extradition hearing for New Zealand's Kim Dotcom and three other founders of file sharing Megaupload, currently on trial for piracy, has been moved to March 2013.

Originally, the hearing was supposed to be held in August 2012, but after a High Court judge ruled the armed raid on Dotcom's house illegal, the date was pushed back.
