Mozilla has announced the launch of their next Mozilla Labs project today, Weave. The basic premise is for providing a framework for new apps that will work seamlessly wherever you access the Internet from. (Think laptop, desktop, and phone)

The biggest bonus to Weave will be pushing all of your Firefox settings onto a Mozilla server that will let you access bookmarks, settings, passwords and so on from any device you use by simply logging into your account. You will also be able to share specified bookmark folders with friends & family so you can work on a project in a collaborative fashion. Mozilla has provided some other "use cases" that you can see here.  You can also check out the picture below for a visual idea of how it will all work.

Mozilla Labs says that it has no interest in developing the apps themselves, but simply proving as robust a framework as possible.
