One feature noticeably missing from Instagram -- the lack of support for switching among multiple accounts -- may not be an area for complaint anymore.

The feature is already live on iOS for some users, according to a report by the blog Latergramme (which is not officially associated with Instagram). Currently, you have to log out of one account and log into another, which can get tedious.

Based on the screenshots some users posted to Latergramme's Facebook group, the new feature looks fairly straightforward. If you have access to more than one Instagram account, you can add each one in the app's settings and switch among them as you see fit.

Your accounts -- provided you have the feature -- will be totally separate, including photos, comments and messages. Notifications for likes or comments will indicate which account they came from.

A beta version of the feature appeared on Android devices in November, Engadget notes, but that required downloading and manually installing an APK package.

It seems that only a small number of users are currently seeing the new feature in iOS, which means that this is either a beta test or a gradual rollout. We've contacted Instagram and will update this post when we know more details.
