Multiply has hit a milestone, gaining more than 5 million members signed up for the social network.
Included in this milestone announcement is a few more numbers: well over 1 million photos uploaded daily, more than 13,000 videos uploaded daily, and some 28,000 blog posts every day. This signifies rapid growth from just a year ago, and Multiply attributes its success to offering a controlled environment for its users to share media and engage in other social networking activities. The way in which information and media is shared within the Multiply network easily leads to viral growth, and we've seen Facebook newsfeeds present a similar affect, especially with the recent launching of many Facebook applications into a new hall of fame.
