A massive fire broke out abruptly during a cultural event held during the 'Make in India' investment week at the Girgaum Chowpatty seafront in Mumbai on the night of Feb. 14. The blaze started during a dance performance, and caused the stage to collapse, but was quickly brought under control by firefighters.

The programme was part of the 'Make in India' week in India's financial capital, intended to attract foreign investment. It was attended by numerous Bollywood actors and politicians, who were quickly escorted out, along with the evacuation of thousands of other guests.
