As the star of Up Late with Miss Piggy, Miss Piggy thinks she deserves the same treatment as her fellow late-night hosts -- which is why she was not too happy about being excluded from a recent Vanity Fair feature that pictured the "titans of late night."

"Well, you know, what it is is that I'm not in many markets right now," Piggy tells Mashable of the snub. "That's my executive producer's fault."

That executive producer, of course, is Miss Piggy's former flame Kermit the Frog, from whom she split earlier this summer. Their relationship will be at the center of an ABC docuseries that premieres Tuesday called The Muppets.

"It's Kermit's fault. If you cannot see my show wherever you are, blame him. Write letters to him," said Miss Piggy.

For his part, Kermit accepts the blame for the Vanity Fair incident: "As the executive producer, it is my responsibility to get the show out into the markets it needs to go into.'

"However," he added, "there's a certain responsibility for the star of the show. Otherwise, people aren't going to watch."

Shots fired.

Kermit was joined by Pepe the King Prawn for a sitdown with Mashable before the reality show's debut on ABC. The series will chronicle the personal lives of Miss Piggy and those who work with her.

And, yes, there will be appearances from Kermit's new flame, Denise.

"Kermit's always exposing her personal life," Pepe joked, a reference to his boss's um, lack of clothes.

"We're naked," Kermit said. "It's sort of a metaphor for the show."

The Muppets premieres Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
