Woman Spends a Year Recreating Selfies Taken on Lost iPhone

Danielle Bruckman found the world's most talented selfie snapper after misplacing her iPhone.

Last New Year's Eve, Bruckman's phone went missing. A month later, selfies of a mysterious man with a bitchin' mustache began appearing on her iCloud. Rather than delete the photos, Bruckman began recreating the man's photos with the help of a stick-on mustache and impressive face-twisting skills.

"James Franco is not the King of Selfie -- as he names himself," Bruckman told Mashable. "I would argue that my cloud pal is the true king."

Bruckman documents her selfie shenanigans -- or what she calls "(in)appropriation art" -- on a Tumblr page called "My Cloud Pal," which launched last week. She says she waited to upload the photos not for any reason other than procrastination. "I waited until I had a break from work to do it. I wish I had been doing it all along so I'd have 'real-time' updates."

Although Bruckman is almost certain she has identified the mustached man, she says she would rather not identify him publicly without his permission.

Users with their own "cloud pals" can submit photos to the Tumblr. But good luck finding a selfie master as talented as this guy.
