Friendship is Magic With This Fancy 'My Little Pony' Art [PICS]

Trot and sparkle, trot and sparkle -- such is the life of My Little Pony.

The fancy fillies and snazzy stallions revel in a pretty posh existence already, but add more glitz and sequins to their grooming routine and you have the recipe for a stable showstopper.

The My Little Pony Project made a stop in New York City over the weekend to showcase the fanciest horses this side of the Budweiser Clydesdales. The traveling charity art exhibition and pop-up shop features My Little Ponies decorated by artists including Tokyo-based fashion designer Shojono Tomo, Emily the Strange creator Rob Reger and comic book illustrator Camilla d'Errico.

For children of the 1980s, My Little Pony brings back fond memories of combing colorful manes and neighing around the magical Ponyland. Well, prepare for a foal flashback by trotting through the My Little Pony Project gallery above.

What's your favorite My Little Pony memory -- Twinkle-Eyed Ponies, Butterscotch, Bushwoolies or something else?
