MyBlogLog sent out an email announcement proclaiming that their assimilation over to Yahoo is complete. They've officially switched over from their original username and password system to Yahoo's ID system, hot on the heels of the softlaunch of the new MyBlogLog widget.

In addition to the largely symbolic login changes, there will also be new significant integrations with other activities on different Yahoo properties as well as offsite systems that alow for export of activity and attention data. the MyBlogLog system will have a feature called New with Me that will aggregate and lifestream the users' activities from Twitter, Last.FM, Digg and YouTube as well as displaying the users' latest Flickr photos.

MyBlogLog was very quick to point out that they'll be aggregating the data on an opt-in basis, and only the data that is publicly available, and that the recent attention/activity data will be available through MyBlogLog profile, About Me widget and Email Signature modules.

The check mark showing verification is still an important part of your community profile. If you click though to my community on http://everwas.com (which features the new widget) you’ll see that it goes to my community page which still features the widget.

So it's still an important part, but we haven't been able to determine (nor have we found an explanation in any MyBlogLog documentation) as to what the green check mark means aside from the fact that the widget owner can respond to an email.
