While Blackberry and MySpace might not seem like a logical fit – Blackberry is typically most popular with corporate users while MySpace’s largest demographic is teens – it comes at a time when RIM is trying to challenge Apple and other device manufacturers in the consumer cell phone market. The company just announced its first flip phone (the 8220), while the Blackberry Bold looks to challenge the iPhone with a built-in music player and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Along those lines, MySpace will also be pushing Blackberry to its users, through a new “Blackberry Hub” on the social network. The site will feature games, ringtones, skins, and wallpapers, while also providing links to other mobile applications that MySpace/Blackberry users might enjoy.
