MySpace Co-Founder Offers Devastating Reply to Twitter Critic

As Donald Trump demonstrates on a daily basis, being rich doesn't give thicker skin. Exhibit B for this phenomenon is Tom Anderson, the co-founder of MySpace.

When Anderson weighed in on Instagram's latest privacy controversy, a Twitter critic questioned Anderson's authority. Anderson then pulled rank. Here's the exchange:

The critic was apparently so stung by this that he deleted his account, causing Anderson (shown above) to take a victory lap:

the guy I answered back deleted his account. does that mean I win? #winning #myspacetom— Tom Anderson (@myspacetom) December 20, 2012

Anderson founded MySpace with Chris DeWolfe in 2003. As Anderson points out, News Corp. bought the social network in 2005 for $580 million. Since eclipsed by Facebook in popularity, MySpace has recently been rebooted with the backing of Justin Timberlake, who, along with partners Chris and Tim Vanderhook, bought it for $35 million.

What do you think? Did Anderson come off well in this exchange? Let us know in the comments.
