Here's where relations between the social networks and the add-on providers get interesting: Slide.com launched public profile pages today, a place to share your slideshows, list your friends and add your favorite shows. It's the tipping point at which you go from being a slideshow add-on provider to being a social network built around slideshows. A MySpace for slideshows, if you will.
I'm not going to connect the dots, but clearly those are two very different propositions.
