HarperTeen is an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, and it's teamed up with MySpace for a custom interactive community for teen readers to connect with each other. Access it here. Very similar to the MySpace Primetime promotional section launched with Hulu (and all the other promotional partners), the HarperTeen page on MySpace acts a profile all its own, which you can add to your friends and receive frequent updates. Participating users can chime in on forums and message boards, read author blogs, learn about upcoming releases, post photos, take polls, and chat with other readers.

This is HarperCollins' second time hooking up with MySpace--for Earth Day HarperCollins provided print material through the popular social network. With the release of blogger widgets, support of FanLib and iPhone optimization, HarperCollins has been making a few moves to better align its brand with Internet culture. The new focus on teens is a no-brainer with the partnership with MySpace.
