MySpace is on another launching rampage. Days after its localized site release in Korea, MySpace reveals MySpace India, officially launching its localized site with a rock concert in Mumbai and all the other music-ridden pomp and circumstance for which MySpace has come to be known.

As with the majority of other localized MySpace launches, its more popular verticals for music and video content are central to the company's global expansion efforts into India. MySpace will be working with Star TV, one of India's largest television networks, to create original content to be distributed through the MySpace India network, and perhaps beyond.

And ever since MySpace opened its developer platform, a focus on the developer community has been central to MySpace's localized launches across the globe as well. This is no different in India, where there's an active developer community. As part of the launch "commencement ceremonies" MySpace is also holding a Developer Platform workshop on April 21, in Bangalore.
