MySpace is set to launch in Japan, according to reports coming out today. The launch will be a joint venture between News Corp and the Japanese telecom group Softbank Corp, owners of Yahoo Japan and Vodafone Japan. The two partners are going 50-50 on the deal, with an announcement coming this week. It was well-known that MySpace had aspirations in China, with the Chinese version set to launch within a year. What's more, the company recently launched regional versions including MySpace Australia and MySpace France, following an announcement of international expansion in June. A launch in Japan, however, hasn't yet been mentioned.
