A couple of MySpace stories that are coming out today. First up, MySpace has switched away from Limelight Networks as its primary content delivery network, instead choosing rival Akamai. That's bad news for Limelight, which relied on MySpace for 21% of its 2006 revenue ($13.5 million). In the last quarter, that dropped to just 2% ($424,000 ).

Meanwhile, MySpace is set to announce a new head of sales today: Tom Bosco, who led the march to launch MSN Video and AOL Video and co-chaired the IAB broadband committee from 2004 to 2006, will be responsible for turning all those video views into cash. MySpaceTV is now the 2nd largest video site on the web behind YouTube, says MySpace (although it's really just a rebrand of MySpace Video, so no changes there).
