Through some sort of obscure chain of email forwards, in my inbox early this morning landed a bunch of graphics that are supposedly going to end up being the new design for MySpace. They didn't come down the usual public relations channels that MySpace uses to send out updates, so I'm curious as to whether we at Mashable somehow offended Tom, or if this is a genuine set of leaked designs.
Regardless of the circumstances, I can genuinely say that I'm very impressed with the updates to the look and feel of the layout and various elements, and is in the spirit of updating the look and feel of the site to something less chaotic than its roots.
I was going to crack a joke here about the chaos of the profiles contained therein remaining the same, and link to my wife's friends, but upon inspection, it seems that the recent layout changes and design clean-ups have had a positive influence on the tenants of MySpace, and their sense of aesthetics; not a single person on my wife's Top Friends list has a load time over a minute or so.
