If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. MySpace launched "Status Updates" today, a clone of Facebook's feature of the same name. Although seemingly lacking a mobile function, this feature creates a Twitter-like page showing the latest messages from your friends and their moods. It also seems to have some features similar to the Facebook Mini-feed: it updates you on new friends, for instance.
With MySpace having just launched MySpaceTV (very similar to YouTube), and about to open up to developers ala Facebook Platform, it seems the innovation pool isn't too deep over at the world's biggest social network.
