MySpace Mobile is headed to Europe, after MySpace signed an exclusive deal with Vodafone. The MySpace Mobile application will be pre-installed on Vodafone's handsets, allowing users to edit their MySpace profiles, add friends, post photos and send messages - it'll also be available for download to Vodafone customers. The deal will go live in the UK first, the two companies say, before a rollout into other European countries - the due date is the "first half" of 2007.

MySpace Mobile is available in the US on the Helio and Cingular networks - since Europeans are heavy users of cellphones, it makes sense to expand in that direction. No doubt their Asian sites (MySpace Japan, MySpace China) would also benefit from mobile apps, provided they ever get off the ground.
