LONDON -- Prime Minister's Questions took a turn for the weird on Wednesday.

The questions from MPs, held weekly when the House of Commons is in session, started with an unexpected question about a stranded tiger in need of safe passage to England, and then things quickly got even more bizarre after Prime Minister David Cameron launched into a story about a rhinoceros named Nancy.

"I had a constituency case exactly like this, with the Cotswald Wildlife Park wanting to bring in a rhino," he said. "I intervened, and I'm delighted to say that the Cotswald Wildlife Park named the rhino Nancy in honour of my daughter. And Nancy has been breeding ever since she arrived... I hope that this tiger is also as effective."

Nancy the rhino is now getting her moment in the spotlight.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter had quite a bit to say about the whole thing.

How about that for avoiding the question?! PM asked about a homeless tiger, responds with horny rhino #PMQs— Jonathan Russell (@JRussellEsq) September 16, 2015

You can't have a rhino called Nancy without a strong economy #PMQs— Liz McInnes (@LizMcInnesMP) September 16, 2015

I haven't really been paying attention for the past 20 minutes as I've been worrying about that rhino. #pmqs— Joe Wells (@joewellscomic) September 16, 2015

Can't shake off the image of Cameron accidentally leaving a rhino in a Cotswold pub and driving off. #PMQs— Nicholas Pegg (@NicholasPegg) September 16, 2015

I'm afraid the only lasting image from this PMQs is going to be Nancy the shagging rhino at Cotswold Wildlife Park. Oh dear— Camilla Long (@camillalong) September 16, 2015

Nancy the rhino was unavailable for comment, so it's not yet clear what she's making of her newfound fame. But we hope she uses it wisely.
