Humans of New York captures people's histories, hopes and dreams, and one young boy's dreams were all about making his dad proud.

A young boy, whose dad is a reporter, told HONY photographer Brandon Stanton on Nov. 14 that he would also like to be a writer one day. However, instead of writing about world news, he would like to write about space.

The boy said, "I’d probably write a story about if NASA was going to launch a new rocket into space. I’d start by going to the Director of NASA. Then I’d ask him about his rockets. And if any of them were going to space." This kid seems like a pretty ambitious reporter.

Many people, including some claiming to be journalists and engineers, sent positive notes on the Humans of New York Facebook page.

NASA's Facebook page also chimed in with some encouraging news, writing, "We're developing NASA's Space Launch System to be the world's most powerful rocket and launch NASA’s Orion Spacecraft into deep space," on HONY's photo. This should be music to his ears.

Mashable's own science reporter, Miriam Kramer, also had some words of wisdom for the boy, upon seeing the photo.
