Here's something that might help kickstart your week: Today is National Coffee Day.

Coffee Day is celebrated on Sept. 29 in a number of countries around the world, including Australia, Canada, England, Norway, Sweden and the United States. A love of caffeine knows no boundaries.

Here’s a rundown of where you can get your hot (or cold) fix for free -- or almost free.

McDonald's: National Coffee Day marks the last day of a two-week promotion at the fast food chain for a free small coffee during breakfast hours (as early as 4 a.m. until 11 a.m.).

Krispy Kreme: A free 12-ounce cup of coffee or a 12-ounce mocha, latte or iced coffee for just $1.

The fact that this day falls on a Monday doesn't hurt, either.
