The 2014 National Geographic International Photography Contest for Kids winners were announced over the weekend, and the results are certainly astounding.

The top prize went to 13-year-old Grace Chung from the United States, who wowed the judges with her entry in the "Amazing Animals" category: A stunning close-up shot of a crested gecko caught licking his own eyeball.

Other categories ably covered by these talented kids included "Weird but True," "Wild Vacations," and "Dare to Explore." While all the photos, shown below, are impressive, we're having a harder time wrapping our heads around the fact that the oldest photographer is only 14 years old.
