We've already seen the Portland Trail Blazers launch a social network, and now it seems the NBA has one of its own. NBA FanVoice goes old skool by focusing on forums, but it also includes profile pages with your favorite team and player, blogs and a network of friends. Photo albums are another nice touch, while the Eyespot integration is also part of the network.

The NBA gets props for creating a nice, simple network that merges well with the feel of the site. But I think individual team networks will survive even when there's a central network for all teams, since they offer a more personalized experience - perhaps sports leagues should even be offering social networking software to all their teams and running them like franchises.

Other sports social networks include Takkle, NHL Connect and FanNation.
