The worlds of NCIS have obviously crossed before -- but Tony DiNozzo's visit to the NCIS: LA gang in Monday night's episode promises to be one of those episodes that makes a permanent home on your DVR's Do Not Delete list.

In the episode, D.C-based DiNozzo turns to the "West Coast Avengers" after a prisoner escapes custody on a flight from Singapore to Los Angeles.

Dynamics will change, action will be seen and, of course, some characters' patience will be tested.

Below, Michael Weatherly and executive producer R. Scott Gemmill, who also wrote the episode, preview what viewers can expect using annotated pages from the script. (You should check their notes out if only to read Weatherly's spot-on description of NCIS: LA HQ.)

In the scene, which you can also watch above, DiNozzo finds himself learning firsthand what it's like to be on the receiving end of Hetty's steel gaze.

Gemmill's notes are in red; Weatherly's are in blue.
