Game Trailer for Neil Gaiman's 'Wayward Manor' Teases Ghost Plot

Popular author and filmmaker Neil Gaiman, who in July announced he's releasing his first video game called Wayward Manor, continues to tease the upcoming puzzle-adventure game in the above trailer he shared first with Mashable.

The game's story stretches hundreds of years, following a ghost trying to figure out why he was killed and by whom. In the process, the clueless phantom tries to scare away every new squatter that has taken up residence in his 1920s home.

Wayward Manor will arrive for PC, Mac and tablets before the end of 2013, and is available for pre-order on STEAM. Game studio The Odd Gentleman and game publisher Moonshark created the trailer.

The game is inspired by the British scribe's love of fantasy, comedy and the spooky history of New England. Gaiman elaborates in this previously released video, below.
