Ahead of his big Oscar hosting gig, Neil Patrick Harris is already looking ahead to his next big show: a variety program coming to NBC.

In a just-released 15-second promo for the still untitled show, the How I Met Your Mother alum tries his best to set the stage for what's in store -- but, as the gag goes, time is limited.

What we do know? The variety show is based on British program Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, which began airing in 2002.

Earlier this month, NBC president Bob Greenblatt told Mashable that the network was in "the early days" of working out the exact details, but said it's "a big audience show."

"There's musical numbers, lots of stuff with the audience. There's game show elements," he said. "It's funny. It's really fun."

The program is set to air this fall.

The Academy Awards will air Feb. 22 on ABC.
