NetFame is a new social network that is one part niche-network, and another part reputation management site. Until you really drill down into the site, it's difficult to determine which one it is trying hardest to be. The first impressions I got from the site is that it had the exact same method of operation and goal as Celebitrix - a place to create a brand for what it is you do professionally or for fun.

Aside from slightly flashier graphics, they do try to do more. The site itself doesn't make it clear at first, but NetFame is making moves to help job seekers get more exposure by makes sure its member profiles are optimized to be listed first on search engines near the top of the results page and doing professional management of the profiles of their customers.

"These bios aren't just for job searches, they're also useful in day-to-day business encounters," explained NetFame's Sam Sinai. "You can refer people to your bio as a part of a virtual introduction."
