LOS ANGELES - Netflix boss Ted Sarandos knows you're waiting patiently for a new season of Arrested Development, and his message Tuesday afternoon was pretty clear: Don't blue yourselves just yet.

"It is our intent to have another season of Arrested Development and all the negotiations are under way," said Sarandos, speaking to press during the Television Critics Association press tour.

The tricky part, says Sarandos, is that the cast is "very busy and working on other shows" -- and that Arrested itself is technically owned by 20th Century Fox Television, who acts as a middleman of sorts when it comes to nailing down contracts.

"It's a very long, complex deal to make," he said.

Back in April, producer Brian Grazer told the B.S. Report that 17 new episodes of the series were in the works. But no production start date has been set.

So...hang in there?
