As we reported in December, the old leader of the web browsers, Netscape, was due to be retired on February 1st. Now comes word via Bjorn Greif of ZDNet Germany that AOL, owners of Netscape Navigator, that support will be extended by another month, to March 1st.

Not only has support been extended by a month, but there will also be an incremental update of Netscape 9, the last version of the browser, that will aid in the migration of users to other browsers. The browser AOL gave their blessing to one of the newest web browsers in the market place, Flock, which is built off of Mozilla's Firefox code. Flock is best known for its easy integration with social networks via the "People bar" which gives you easy access to your social networks.
